As an Albanian citizen and as a responsible person, I believe it is a moral obligation that we owe to our society, to our grandfathers, to our families, to our children, to our beloved ones, to expose the true reality of the terrorist regime of Enver Hoxha in Albania, which lasted from 1939 to1991. It never collapsed anyway. Power doesn’t fall like that.
The crucial point which should be tackled with regard to this regime is the massive rape that has taken place during this period to the Albanian daughters and women.
At the same time, we should explain to the victims and to the society what are the consequences of continues and system rape that has taken place during that time.
Make no mistake, the sexual rape, which characterized the terrorist regime of Enver Hoxha, was not merely a compilation of perks offered to the devoted public servants of that regime. Rather, it was a national policy and done in an organized way.
Also, it is necessary to put this into a political and historical perspective. Thus, the terrorist regime of Enver Hoxha was brought to Albania by the British Empire and the American Ally during the WWII, and that regime has been supported and maintained by the West.
I feel terrible to even begin to imagine what Albanian women and girls have gone through during that barbaric western supported regime.
It is time to speak up and reveal the truth as a respect for our women and daughters. At the very least, whoever was related to that terrorist regime, which is pretty much the whole political elite in Albania, should have been held accountable morally.
