When we speak of laws, we are under the impression that we are talking of a set of legal and state rules that are applied on everyone equally regardless of their social or political status, that do not change with the change of the political interests of the ruling class, that are not formulated in order to address specific people or groups and then revoked, that prevent the Government from transgressing, oppressing people politically and financially, and whose purpose is to create legal stability in the society.
So far, it seems as if I’ve been defining the nature of the modern state – the rule of law as they call it, but this could not be farther from the truth. Indeed, the above description fits the legal goals of the religion of Islam, which by far offers a superior legal system in every aspect: fairness, justice, it limits the power politics, laws cannot be changed, the number of laws is limited, and laws can be understood by lay people. In short, it is the best legal system that anyone can come up with.
In the modern state, such as in Canada, on the other hand, there is no legal consistency. Laws can change anytime the ruling elite or the King deem it necessary for all sorts of reasons while there are thousands upon thousands of laws, legal acts, regulations, and court rules.
I could have never imagined the inferiority and corruption of the legal system in the West, especially in countries such as Canada.
The only reason why the Government of Canada does not crush people is perhaps the public opinion; it is not the legal system which prevents the political despotism of the ruling elite or the King.
In Canada, laws can change anytime the Government deems it necessary; laws can be designed to address one case and then revoked; laws are written in such an ambiguous and abusive way that allow judges reach any legal verdict they want; laws and legal acts are so many that can justify any action of the Government against people and consider it legal: they can raid homes, arrest people, confiscate property, shut down businesses, fire people from work, or turn people’s lives upside down. All of these can be carried out by the Government of Canada in the name of law and in the name of legal acts.
Indeed, it is safe to say that not only Canada, but typically the modern state formed by the British Empire is a totally corrupt political system.
Why wouldn’t Canada, for example, be a tyranny if laws are written by the King or politics, if laws change whenever the tyrants of politics want to do so, if there are thousands of abusive and ambiguous laws, if judges have unlimited and unwarranted power, if the legal verdicts are in truth reached according to political needs of the government, not according to legal fairness?!
This is the West: corrupt, despotism, and political tyranny.
